Community Guidelines

These Guidelines apply to profiles, usernames, Cupd. posts, photographs, selfies, captions, comments and other interactions on the platform.

Be sound.

Don't use Cupd. to bully, threaten, intimidate or harass another person. Disagreement is fine. Targeted abuse isn't.

Share your coffee, not hate.

Content that attacks or degrades people based on protected characteristics isn't welcome on Cupd.

Keep it appropriate.

Don't post sexually explicit, exploitative, excessively violent or otherwise seriously inappropriate material. Never post sexual content involving anyone under 18.

Respect people's privacy.

Don't share another person's private or sensitive information without permission. Think before posting photographs of other people, particularly where they may reasonably expect privacy.

Post what you're allowed to post.

Only upload photographs and other content you have the right to share. Don't deliberately infringe another person's copyright, trade mark or other intellectual property rights.

Be yourself.

Don't impersonate another person, café, organisation or business.

Keep ratings genuine.

Your coffee ratings and café opinions are yours — and we want them to be genuine. Don't manipulate ratings, coordinate fake reviews or deliberately post false information intended to harm a café or another person.

A bad flat white is allowed to get a bad rating. Just keep it about the experience. ☕️

Don't spam.

Don't repeatedly post unwanted promotional material, automated content, scams or misleading links. Don't scrape Cupd. or use automated systems to collect user information without permission.

Don't use Cupd. for illegal or dangerous activity.

Don't use Cupd. to facilitate illegal activity, credible threats, exploitation or conduct that could seriously endanger another person.

Reporting something

If you see something that you believe breaches these Guidelines, email support@cupd.co.uk and include the relevant username and enough information for us to identify the content or behaviour.

What happens when the Guidelines are broken?

Depending on the circumstances, Cupd. may remove or restrict content, issue a warning, restrict access to features, suspend an account or permanently remove an account.

False reports

Don't deliberately abuse the reporting process to target another user. Good-faith reports will not result in action against you simply because we ultimately decide the reported content does not breach these Guidelines.

These Guidelines will evolve.

Cupd. is growing, and these Guidelines may change as the community and app develop.
